NAPPY BROWN was born Napoleon Brown Goodson Culp in Charlotte, North Carolina. He joined Savoy Records in 1954 and went on to become one of the biggest R&B stars of the day with a string of hits that crossed over to the wider white audience. His unique vibrato style influenced many contemporary artists including Elvis Presley. Here we present his most collectable R&B side "Coal Miner" coupled with the Jump Blues rarity "Skidy Woe".
